How To Make A Cardboard Chair

Link 1:
http://www.andrewsenior.com/gallery/design/cardboard_instruct.html
This site shows you how to make a cardboard chair with just cardboard. It has plenty of pictures so you know exactly how to build it. Each picture has instructions for the next step. It also has FAQ's for people who may get stuck or confused. The site doesn't have a video, but all the pictures could make up for that. The design & instructions are very simple & easy to understand. The instructions don't show simple measurements, which is bad. The pictures are in kind of bad quality, they're hard to understand. I wouldn't use this site as my number one choice as a guide, only because I would like to have a video & the pictures aren't clear. I can tell now that this wont be an easy project.

My Experience

My experience of using the blog has been fun. I enjoyed designing my blog & looking over other peoples. Trying to make the right blog can be kind of tricky. You have to make sure you colors coordinate with each other. You also have to make sure you have the right type of fonts, its a lot. You can chose to either have a public or private blog, its up to you. You can blog about any & everything, its up to you. You can have multiple blogs on your account, which is great. I didn't realize I was making multiple blogs instead of multiple post, you have to make sure you watch out for that. But when blogging you need to think about your audience, & don't forget people can look up your blog. All in all, a blog is fun!

Good Blog v. Bad Blog

Good Blog Design:

A good blog design would consist of a background thats not to busy & doesn't interfer with the text, making it hard to read. Text thats big enough to read, but not too big. Link colors that match the webpage design, & have a hover color or are underlined so you know they are links. Every webpage on the blog looks like it belongs to the same person.
Bad Blog Design:
A bad blog consist of busy, distracting backgrounds that make the text hard to see. Links that are the default blue color, and aren't underlined. Large graphics that take forever to load. Counters on your page, who cares? Having to scroll sideways, because you made your blog too wide, annoying! Useless titles that don't explain what the blog is about, example: a blog titled  "DarkDragon", when its a blog about engineering!

My Blog Design:
All in All, I would say my blog has a good design. The text is easy to read. My background isn't busy, I don't have annoying graphics & the annoying sideways scrolling.

Glider Project!

The Glider project was a long & enjoyable period. It took a lot of time, hard work, patience & concentration. I messed up a couple of times, doing the 1902 glider wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. Building a plane definitely isn't my stong suit. We started the project off with dimensional drawing, then we moved on to drawing the 1900, 1901, 1902 & 1903 gliders. We then had to chose to either build the 1902 or 1903 glider. I chose the 1902 glider because I thought I was taking the easy way out. I didnt realize that I wasn't trying my hardest until I got my grade back. Building a styrofoam plane was really fun! I love projects like this. The only thing is, I need to do better with a straight edge, because my wings were uneven. I also need to make sure I do EVERYTHING thats required.

What Is Blogging?

A blog is like an online personal diary. Its your own personal thoughts made for the world to see. A blog gives you your own voice on the web. Many people just use a blog to organize their thoughts, some just for fun, & others to entertain an audience of hundreds, thousands, or millions. Blogging is also more than just putting your thoughts out on the web, its about connecting with anyone who reads your works. You can design your blog to make it more appealing to the eye with different fonts, colors, backgrounds, and templates. You can have a private blog where you keep certain things like news, reminders, and different works to yourself. Or you can have a public blog made for everyone. The Access Control lets you control that. You can also publish pictures that you want to share. You can send them from your phone, upload them from your computer, or copy the url from the web. Your blog is whatever you make it to be. Have fun with it! (:
